Peter graduated from Latrobe University Melbourne in 1999 as an Occupational Therapist and has worked for 22 years providing services within both public and private health sectors.
Peter has extensive experience in neurological rehabilitation. In Victoria he worked in two specialist brain injury rehabilitation units and was then based in a community based brain injury rehabilitation transitional living program. During his career, Peter has provided private Occupational Therapy services for complex claims including traumatic and acquired brain injury, orthopaedic injury, and spinal cord injury in both NSW and Victoria. This has included physical and cognitive interventions to maximise rehabilitation outcomes, plus review of vocational rehabilitation services (including return to work assessment, rehabilitation management and case management for CTP and TAC / workcover claims).
Most recently Peter has worked within spinal and brain injury specialist public health services as both a Senior Occupational Therapist and Service Manager in Northern NSW. He has developed strong understanding of best practice in spinal injuries and has provided clinical supervision to a team of staff as well as liaison with key stakeholders and customers (including icare and NDIA).
Peter is passionate about working with people to maximise their independence, to see them achieve their goals and maximise their life roles and opportunities.
Peter is based in Northern New South Wales and is able to provide ADL assessment and retraining, case management, care needs reviews, equipment prescription and return to work rehabilitation. He is an approved case manager with icare, where is extensive experience in catastrophic injury management is well suited.
