Jo obtained her Bachelor of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy at the University of Sydney in 2001.

Jo has over 12 years of experience solely in field of Occupational Rehabilitation providing assessment, treatment and rehabilitation services to CTP, Workers Compensation, Income Protection and NDIS clients, as well as workplace risk and ergonomic assessments to large corporate clients.

From 2004 to 2011 Jo worked as a Rehabilitation Advisor for one of NSW’s largest CTP insurers, advising on reasonable and necessary TRAC, for clients with soft-tissue, demonstrable, multi-trauma and psychological injuries. Jo regularly attended settlement conferences and provided clinical advice for claims that had proceeded to the Claims Assessment and Resolution Service (CARS) or the Medical Assessment Service (MAS).

From 2011 to 2012 Jo worked as a Rehabilitation Advisor for a large Life Insurer, providing advice on total and permanent disability (TPD), functional capacity assessment and provision of remote rehabilitation case management for clients with complex physical, cognitive and psychological impairment.

From 2012 to 2018 Jo worked as senior Occupational Therapist, Day Program team leader and FIM Facility Trainer for one of Sydney’s largest private rehabilitation hospitals. Jo worked as part of a diverse multi-disciplinary team providing assessment and intervention for neurological, chronic pain, orthopedic and reconditioning patients including; amputation, brain injury, CVA, degenerative neurological conditions, multi-trauma, cancer, OA, respiratory disease, cardiac, dementia, falls, back pain and spinal surgery. This included CTP, Workers Compensation and NDIS funded patients.

Jo gained extensive experience in chronic pain management and facilitation of health change for patients who often presented with complex medical histories and biopsychosocial barriers. Jo also developed skills in home modifications, equipment prescription, wheelchair assessment and managing the care needs of complex conditions.

Jo is passionate about assisting clients to return to functional independence. Her extensive experience in insurer, rehabilitation provider and clinical settings has provided her with a well-rounded and holistic perspective to provision of rehabilitation services. Jo believes that goal setting and building of rapport, trust and a collaborative relationship with all stakeholders is integral to achieving rehabilitation outcomes.

At Moore Rehab Outcomes, Jo will be available to conduct ADL and workplace assessments, ergonomic assessments, equipment prescription, minor home modifications, functional education, activity upgrading programs, case management and return to work management in Sydney and the Central Coast.
